People need fictions to live.
We invent and play at believing the inventions of others.

Impostura tries to build a concrete fiction: a person who disappears in her own body.

We believe in the possibility of deciphering and rescuing the memory, not only animal but also vegetable and mineral, that we all have inside, by representing a ritual.

Impostura, a specifically designed ritual to reach this primeval body, is an initial journey where one leaves to become somebody new. It is a journey to the unknown - into an unknown body.

In Impostura, two women share the stage - a dancer and a singer.
One owns the territory. The other has just arrived.

Your body is not a word,
it does not lie or tell the truth.

... And looking back to what we had promised to be our unique, dangerous, unpredictable adventure, we found only that the end is a series of equal metamorphoses by men and women in all parts of the world, in all Centuries, of all the centuries of memory and under all the various and strange disguises of civilization
— Hero with a Thousand Faces, Joseph Campbell

Man's capacity for metamorphosis, which has given him so much power over other creatures, has been barely focused and understood. It belongs to the greatest of enigmas: each one has it, each one applies it, and each one considers it very natural.
Few realize that they owe to it the best of what they are. It is unusually difficult to probe the essence of the metamorphosis, and it must be approached from different sides.
